founding artistic director of Pocket
I founded Pocket (formerly called Pocket Theatre VR) in my senior year at Knox College in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. Pocket Theatics can be best described as a theatre company designed for the Metaverse. The company is engaged in research and exploration to find a novel way for both the audience and theatre makers to create and enjoy theatre in a safe manner, unaffected by COVID-19.
Pocket is the organizing ensemble behind inc, Direct Address, and any future opportunities. Pocket (full name Pocket Theatrics) is created as a haven for early-career artists.

Freshly Brewed
In the spirit of The Understudy’s commitment to collaboration, community, and discovery, Freshly Brewed is the monthly new play reading series. Featuring the work of emerging Chicago area playwrights and directors. Each artist contributing– playwrights, directors, and actors– receives a stipend for their work.

Direct Address
An Early-Career Director focused program, Direct Address tours a different theatrical hub each event and offers directors networking, practic, and actionable feedback for their career. Each event is hosted by a different established director from the community and allows three directors to showcase their work.
